Problem: There is a stigma associated with overdose, a tendency to blame the victim and ignore the problem. It is an equal opportunity crisis. Someone close to you is likely at an increased risk of an opioid overdose, and they might not even know it.

Task: Create innovative ideas that raise awareness of opioid overdose risk while reducing the stigma associated with it and encourage the core target group to talk to a doctor about managing the risk.

Idea: Every year on the 31st of August, International Overdose Awareness Day is held to stimulate discussion about evidence-based overdose prevention and drug policy. An addiction can begin from just one fix with a prescription from a doctor, one time syringe or pills from the pharmacy. Followed by another, then another. The World Health Organization wants to encourage thousands to put an end to opioid-related harm instead of opioids being the end of their lives if prevention is not taken.

On the 31st of August, International Overdose Awareness Day is held to stimulate discussion about evidence-based overdose prevention and drug policy. To combat the opioid epidemic at the source, The World Health Organization partners with pharmacies in the United States most affected regions by changing the perception of opioid pills and replacing it with a coffin shaped pill. We want to encourage thousands to seek prevention while avoiding the end result of opioid addiction.

Carved pills out of soap, created label and copy while setting up the shoot and doing color correction.
